How to Lace Pole Dance Boots: The Best Hack
As a pole dancer, this simple hack literally changed the game for me. When I bought my first pair of Pleaser ankle boots, I’d spend way too much time at the start of every class tying them up, wrapping the crazy long laces around my ankle in an attempt to shorten the front bow. Not only was it a hassle to quickly remove my heels, but the laces would ALWAYS fall loose just as I was about to pose for a photo… sound familiar?
With this super easy method to tie up your pole shoes, you’ll be able to zip your heels on and off in seconds—no more wrapping laces or frantically re-threading hooks before class starts!
Try this lacing hack and never waste time putting on your heels again:

1. Cross-Lace To Top
For the first time lacing, sit in a position where you can point your foot as much as possible. This helps prevent tying too tightly in a flexed position and restricting your ankle movement. Cross the laces under each metal hook, and thread them up under the top eyelets of the boot.

2. Double-Lace Back Down
Continue cross-lacing your boots back down, creating a double lace under each hook. This creates a more secure fit and stops the laces from coming loose throughout your class or performance. Once you only have a small amount of lace left, securely tie a knot and a double bow.

3. Tuck & Hide
Tuck the bow and any loose ends beneath the laces. This should stay sandwiched between the top laces and the shoe tongue, keeping everything neat and out of the way—Tip: it’s easier to do this once you’ve taken your boot off! Optionally, to ensure top loops stay secure between use, you can also use a pair of pliers to slightly close up the metal hooks.

4. Zip On, Zip Off
From now on, simply use the side zipper to take your pole heels on and off! You may occasionally need to re-tuck or re-loop the laces but you won’t have to re-lace them every time. With this method, your laces will stay secure for months—trust me, I can’t remember the last time laced my Pleasers!
